A view from my side.
Today’s match, the first in a run of four leading up to the State Tournament, is a two hour drive away. Originally set to kick off in the evening, the start time has been bumped two hours earlier. At least we’ll be home before mid-night tonight.
Today we hope to build on the successes we had the other night. Despite the 3-0 score, we made great progress with our new system. But the boys have only had one match and two practices with it. The time to really test it, to really learn it, is during a match. And to test it in a match, you need a quality opponent.
Today we have an opportunity to play a quality opponent. Today we learn a bit more. Today we refine a bit more. Today we work out the kinks. Today we solidify the system.
